Workshop FACSIMILE
Fluvial Archives in the Bergantes river, Spain
This year FACSIMILE Workshop took place in the Bergantes river, Spain with its 5th version with a group of international scientists from the Netherlands, UK, Turkey and France in October 16-18. In this fieldwork oriented workshop, the whole crew had the opportunity to present their modelling approach in an attempt to understand the climate and perhaps tectonic-uplift related surface dynamics using the fluvial archive. LAPSUS, CHILD, FASTSCAPE, FLUVER2 and CAESAR are some of the codes that were presented in the workshop.
Very happy to be part of the FACSIMILE group and to have met brilliant earth scientists there! More discussions will follow with an attempt to understand the boundary between Quaternary sediments and the main rock body along the Bergantes river on the following months.
