Fieldwork in Kula
I went on the first fieldwork campaign of my research project together with an excellent research team this month. My advisors Jeroen and Tom, and I had quite productive and yet challenging and rewarding discussions about the surface dynamics in relation to badland formation in Kula region.
We also appeared in local press for our contribution to the development of the Kula GeoPark.
The site I am working on is a spectacular volcanic field which has been subject to extensional tectonic regime that has predominantly reshaped the topography north of Kula town.
Our next fieldwork is scheduled presumably in June 2018.
