About

---------------------------

I am a geologist with primary research focus on structural geology, tectonic geomorphology and geochronology. My research is based on producing 4D geological and tectonic (re)constructions and understanding earth surface dynamics that are linked to active or inherited tectonics and/or climate change in various geological environments.

My methodological approach integrates field-based geological & structural mapping, seismic interpretation, stratigraphic correlation and geochronological dating (e.g. TCN, OSL, 14-C) to understand the geological past and produce geological models. In order to assess the landscape response to tectonics and/or climate change, I also use numerical Landscape Evolution Modelling (i.e. LEM LAPSUS) in my research. I also have an interest in landsliding at orogen scale, its spatio-temporal distribution and topographic patterns as an indicator for natural hazards.
